I had the two engine side by side when i did my swap and i open the two engine and i would trust the gtx anytime but the bp seem a little more fragile the connecting rod are slimer and the compression ratio his pretty high to run a high amount off boots but in low wear engine under low boots it should hold. The big problem i see in putting a turbo in a n/a car his the electronic to run it. Him currently finding out has him putting a gtx in my lx 93 and him going with the n/a computer with piggy-bag.

this is a litle video of 3 cars racig,gtivr6 turbo,99 eclipse gsx with fully built motor and stand alone ,and thae last car is honda civic with gsr motor that has a stock pistons,rods,it has type r cams and springs, it also has safc,and boost depended regulator and that car is dailly diven and is able to run 1/4 mile in 11.1 sec on 93 octane gas with street tires.but wwhenu takl o honda owners they will tell u that its imposible to do it but i see the car every day and i know it can be done.the car is fast and thae owner built it but hedont read honda boards and listen to people crying about weak engines and other crap.that why if some one wants a fast protege u cant listen any one on the board just because no one has fast protege.

 

But if you go ahead and do things you are not knowledgable of you'll most definately spend a shitload of cash and still not have a fast Protege. I get your point though.

 

ck out the video u will see and that eclipes has 430 whp and civic is not runing cloese to 17 psi.it runs 13 psi. i know him and konw what he got in it.also car has lether and tv too.did i mentiont it dont run ihi turbo

My 323 has the 1.6 SOHC in it right now and 200HP would be a minimum...

 

i seen the car run at the track and i seen the time and what he is runing.let me ask u who sets physical limints on that engines.i hope is not the same person that set a 300hp on 1glx trans.

 

he traps around 120- 127 mph.

Tranny going out at 300 hp wait a second him going to call Dave Lauzier here in Quebec to tell him he should not take his 570 hp drag precidia to the track and for the spec just check Quebec Tuning magazine he was on the first page

 

I've heard he goes thorugh a tranny about every 4th or 5th run........
I thought he sold it?? Or is in the process of selling it.

 

he runs the car a lot and never had a problem with it and car is dailly driven.its not completly stock but rods and pistons are stock.he has ARP studs and rod and crank bolts.
