bpt swap fuel control question
i'm going to do the bpt swap and i'm going to get a larger fuel pump obviously my soch engine's pump will not put out enough fuel (or will it )? When i get the bigger fuel pump will the ecu automatically tell it how much fuel to deliver or will i have to adjust it. I will most likely go with the walbro 255lph inline pump. Also any info on how to install these or how to bypass the original pump?
Thanks

The walbro pump replaces the stock pump in the tank. It will pump more as the engine needs it, no need to ajust anything in the computer, it will do all the thinking for you. Pretty easy install(even though I have yet to do mine...) just take up the rear seat bottom, undo some bolts and slap the new pump on. You may have to cut the wires as the plug might not fit, but I dont know for sure. BTW, how far are you on the swap, im just up in Towson.

our OBDi computers are pretty stupid so dont count on them for too much. if you are doing the BPT swap and are using the GTX wiring harness, VAF, and ECU then there is nothing you need to do. upgrading the fuel pump wont effect anything.
however if you were to swap in larger injectors you would run way to rich despite having the proper computer.
