Question couple questions

whats up, I was wondering what kind of interface i need for running a laptop. If it was ISO or whatnot. also, I am doin the research on the turbo thing and I have decided to go ahead and order the GTX soon, however I havent found anything as far as pluming. Ive heard you can get an IC from ebay, but do I have to get all the pipes custom made? I can get the GTX from corksport for like 1200-dont know the shipping, I can get one from that barely legal place for around 1200 i think, or i can get one from (anyone seen that add for japanese engines in super street?) for 1400 which includes the tranny and 300 shipping. Does the GTX from cork or barely come w/ the tranny also?

Thanks all

Dusty

First things first... Unless your tranny is f'ed up, you already have the one you want (G series found in the Pro LX and EGTs)... So you're good there...

As for the piping, yea, I belive that you're going to have to get them custom done since there really isn't a kit out there. Plus it would all depend on what IC you have.

For the laptop interface, I believe the Haltec uses a serial connection (DB-9 or whatever). I'm not sure about the other standalone engine management systems, but I'd assume they'd all be serial connections.

If you were just going to use a GTX ECU, you wouldn't have to worry about the laptop interface, obviously because there wouldn't be any tuning done for it.

Also, keep the head from your NA engine and put it on the BPT, it's like 40% more flow or something, about 10-20whp difference.
