Question Custom SOHC Intake

Does anybody happen to know where I would be able to get a intake pipe made for a 94 protege dx sohc, i need to buy a new one since the one I have lost it's look with the engene heat. And it has to be mandrel bent not crush bent like the crappy one i have.

try a local muffler shop or home depot for parts if you want to make it yourself......

what kind of pipe (steel or aluminum) would i buy if i went to home depot, and will it withstand the heat of the engine.

you should be able to use either aluminum or steel. To make it withstand the engine heat, put a few coats of high heat engine paint on the inside and outside.

or better yet, get it ceramic coated if you want to get rid of heat.
