dohc head on sohc?

ive done the search, read all the post. and in mike323's thread it came down to the simple question,
is it the pistons that lower the comp or the block?

i guess what im asking is, are they the same blocks with different pistons?

The blocks are the same, therefore the SOHC pistons lower your static compression ratio.

Also, I beleive the DOHC block has oil squirters whereas the SOHC doesn't. Can someone confirm this.
