Exclamation focus tranny

will the new focus svt 6 speed tranny bolt up to the 1st gen bp5 motor or any of the other gens????

I'll handle this one... having owned a Focus before I got the Pro...

NO. The Getrag 6-spd trans WILL NOT bolt up to your engine. IT IS A DIFFERENT ENGINE.

Trust me, the BP is DEFINATELY not a Zetec...

Maybe if you want to fab or have fabbed a custom bellhousing, custom axles, and mounts among other things.

Custom axles for that trans run about $300 each from Quaife.

wouldnt be worth it...look up the cost of that tranny, plus custom bell housing,axles,probably flywheel and clutch too..alot better to take a g series, and add a quaife lsd...the weak point of the tranny is the diff, so if you spend the cash you should be able to push high horse on this tranny no problem...hope this helps

mmm would be interesting if a custom bellhousing was put on the focus box so that it would fit to the BP engine....
