Funny Honda Story
I saw a funny signature regarding the lack of talent in Honda drivers and I thought I had better share my story.
I was driving back to my girfriends place on a weekend after having spent a couple of days at a buddies place on a lake. My girlfriend rode home with her friend so I took all the guys in my car. All told I had about 750lbs of meat in my car including myself plus luggage in the trunk. To say the least it was a heavy load but the GT (1.8 DOHC) was up to the task and didn't require any downshifts from 5th even on long hills. when I got to town I had to stop at a stoplight. There were three lanes and I was in the middle lane. There was a new Civic SiR infront of me and no cars on my right. Who cares what was on my left. When the light turned green the Civic stalled and nearly rolled into my front bumper (go for it buddy I paid $3k for my car). so once he got the fire lit again I pulled into the right lane and laid on it. Even with four fatasses in the car and all their luggage I still creamed the guy. Though my buddy was a bit concerned since the right lane was running out (merge lane) and we were going rather qick ... a few time the posted speed limit. The guy in the Civic tried to catch me but as you might guess from his performance at the light - couldn't. I have no fear of the rev limiter.
The best part was when he flipped me the bird after he caught up to me (it was a residential area and I had proved my point ... YOU SUCK!!!). At that point my buddy in the passengers seat pointed out that his girlfriend was in the car. Girls dont' like it much when you race with them in the car, imagine what it's like when you lose to a car more than 10 years older than yours with less power, and more weight - and not to mention the difference in price (what $3k versus like $25k cdn).
Anyway, I'm sure some of you have had similar experiences. I'd like to hear them.
