Heater Core
#4
pull the dash, heatcore is behind the passenger side of the dash, remove it and flush it out wth water and "radiator" flush.
maybe one of the 1st gen guru's will verify this but I believe 90% of all heatercores are mounted behind the dash...you MAY be able to get to it from the glovebox but I doubt it.

Too bad I saw this thread too late. You should have mentioned the way that doesn't work as a remedy anyway. The reason is that if he's in a hot temperature area like I'm in, you don't need the heater. Like so many, he doesn't put his location in his profile. When people register they somehow think the moderators are going to find their home address just by putting a city and state. Here, in Miami, we just go under the hood and disconnect the hoses that go into the heater core. We then plug the hoses. Since no water is getting into the heater core, it no longer leaks water inside the car. Ofcourse, you then have no more heating in the car. In South Florida, that's not a problem. From North Florida on up, that's not really a solution to the problem. Hope this helps people in the areas of the country that are hot almost all year round that use the search function to find a solution to the problem.
