That pic off of Aspec's site is one of the first (or maybe the very first) KLZE swap(s) they did and they used that manifold because it fit and the ZE one didn't ... that's why.

If you have uprgraded suspension and brakes they would be fine with a KLZE! Here's something you won't hear from anybody else, the reason why they change over all of the suspension components when doing a ZE install on anything other than a PGT v6/mx6 v6/626 v6/mx3 v6/millenia v6 is because they get a whole mx3 that was written off and take all the suspension components, the axles, the tranny, the brakes, etc and swap them over so that those parts don't go to waste and they can charge you much more for the swap than they would with one of the cars I listed ($4300cdn+ vs $3000cdn). Mind you that price isn't too bad for the amount of parts you get with it, but sometimes the donor car can have as much as 250-300k (KM) so using upgraded stock components would be better for you.

I would just call them up and tell them you don't need the suspension, rims or brakes off the mx3 and for them to do the swap for $1000 less

Is it just control arms, or more to it than that?

Well, my whole point of this is DIY. I won't be driving to Toronto from FL ! Thanks for everybody's replies, I appreciate it. Personally, it's starting to sound like the BPT might be the easier swap for me.
