Everyone does stuff to the DOHC. I want to do something to the SOHC.

Factory spec is 0.004" off of the head and block. Any more likely would change valve timing, necessitating an adjustable cam gear.

Or to have the advantage of a DOHC type setup?? If you dont want to turbo your SOHC, then what are you trying to do??? Now ya got me curious!! Sorry if I pissed ya off dude... but, I would hate to see somebody put so much money into a SOHC and miss out.
