no power in drve on protege
Hey , everyone.
A few days ago I changed the water pump on the 1990 mazda protege DOHC - thanks to everyone who helped me with my little timing belt problem (being new to working on cars I managed to missaliegn camshafts and crankshaft ) . Now it seems I've got a new problem that I have ask advice to solve (either that or hook it to my truck and reap it into a couple of dozen peices ) .Here are the symptoms -- after I got everything back together I found out that I only get about 500 rpm on idle ,plus when I floor it and let go it drops to about 200 before recovering. But looking on the bright side at least I can floor it in park( or neutral) --in drive or reverse it won't go over 600 no matter what. My top speed is at mighty 5,5 miles per hour now.I also get a slight shh noise from the belt area --gonna I take it apart tommorow to see what it is. Now question stands --what did I F--ck up ??
Thanks in advance,
BESS
