hi all... im new to the protege club..ive noticed that many people make reference to rx7 afm on their protege....
i have a 92 sohc 5spd..and a few questions .......
what is the advantage of a rx7 afm over a stock pro afm??
are there any special mods to make it work on my pro???
which rx7 afm can i use (year+model)???
i work at a mazda dealer and have access to many rx7/pro parts ........ i want to make my protege come alive
any answers and /or suggestion appreciated..

The RX-7 VAF will only give you gains above 6K rpm. Since your SOHC redlines at 6K, it'd be pretty much useless.

 

i put one on , you need a rx-7 MAF from a non turbo. i put an exhaust on that day so i dont know if the power was from the MAF or the exhasut. its still cool to say you have a rx-7 MAF. frankenstien type ****.
