Short Throw Shifter

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I did a search and couldn't find my answer. Will the pacesetter/b&m short shifter work in my '90 323? I wasn't sure if the transmission was the same as the 1st gen pros. Thanks.

I would say yes .The 323 and Protege share the same mechanicals ,Engines, tranies and suspension . Why not make your own.All you have to do is lenghten the rod below the ball on the shifter
I have done this twice ,On a 92 and on my 2001 ,Both proteges.I have had no problems .this cost me My time and effort and a 2"piece of 1/2"ID pipe .

Thanks for the responce! I don't think I'd try to make my own because I would probably end up messing something up. Plus the pacesetter STS is adjustable, so that's pretty cool. Thanks, though! Did you have to weld that? I can't weld.
