"Throw out bearing and clutch" How much $$ ?
Well I knew of this problem about a day after i bought my protege back in December...didnt make that sound when i bought it....heh well anyway from what what ive been told Im going to need a new throw out bearing for my car. Also im begining to definatly feel a slipping clutch. Im living in Woodbridge Township of NJ and would like to know if ANYBODY knows where i can go to get this job fixed CHEAP.
I dont have much money and personally would rather want to just get a new car. I love my protege, its got TONS of potential and would like nothing more but to dump hundreds into it and make it a 12 second sleeper but. Its way to small for me...Its REALLY uncomfortable with the seat all the way back even. When i take a turn i get thrown to whatever side unless im holding onto my door handle.. Its getting annoying.
Im not sure if I should just dump the money i have left into fixing it or sell it for what its worth and try my best to find a new car. It runs perfectly too...starts up on 10 degree mornings with no problem. I basically just want someone to actually use it instead of me having to trash it.
Any thoughts? -Dan
