going fine unti i installed the ecu out of dohc now the car is running like crap can some one tell me why?
my check engine light is now on and the car have poor acceleration.any help will be appriciated.

because thge DOHC and SOHC are two completely different ECU's. The DOHC ECU is built to read another signal from the Disty and the car is searching for VICS, which you dont have, and VICS is not a good idea for I/F purposes.
the car thinks it has 2 cams, higer compression, VICS, a differtent, Disty, and unless you pulled your ECU from a BPT, your car has the improper fuel map for boost.
BTW if you pull an ECU out of a car make sure the donor car had a similiar tranny. MXT ECU's and ATX ECU's are also diferent.

what ecu number did you install?
If you have the BPO9 you should not have any problem thats the one that I have in my car but my car is manual tranny.
Ck if the automatic tranny needs an automatic ecu just for curiousity.

if you are doing an sohc turbo, you will have to go haltech universal, and custom program, or piggyback on the SOHC ECU (tricky and pricy)

Well i pulled a BP10 ECU out of a CDM protege GT. and that has a bP engine. hmmmm I know someone who has pulled a Bp09 out of an EGT and i pull a BP09 out of my CDM LX (sohc)
so i guess it is anyones guess.
and there is no way you can run 15psi of boost on just a stock ECU.

How is it that a stock SOHC ecu can run 15psi of boost, but the GTX ecu cuts out at 14.7psi and the GTX is made to recognize boost? I know the PR guys are tuning nuts, but I smell some
Btw, 12's are possible.....with a DOHC turbo motor. If somehow they hit 12's on a SOHC motor, I doubt the cost of it was anywhere near reasonable. Also, lets see how long that motor will last. A stock DOHC motor will pull a low 16/ high 15. A stock GTX pulls a 14 sec 1/4 and a stock GTR is capable of 12's. So, unless it's a straight race motor, there;s no way a SOHC Protege is gonna cut 4 or more seconds off it's 1/4 mile time.

there are no bolt-on's for an sohc for starters!! a GT-R running 15 psi and headwork will run a 12.8. that is with a Vj-23. and the flow efficieny of the SOHC head sucks! it peaks long before 200hp and you need ~300 to get into the low-low 13's
fucktard! omg quit beign ******* retarded. this is crap!
somehow...those PR guys ARE doing it.
