Weapon-R Dragon Intake (Need Advice!!!)
hey all,
this message is mainly relates to mazdaspeedwest's previously posted message about the weapon-r dragon intake pipes.
i ordered one 2 months ago from importstudio... i own a 1990 protege (sohc).
mazdaspeedwest, you said it had fitting problems? is it real bad or no?
my shipment still hasn't come in like forevers... so if it doesn't really fit that good, i don't think i want it. i'm thinking about just cancelling the order if i can. it doesn't have much hp gains anyway right? i'll go with the prm intake perhaps. it was the ford escort one right?
well if anyone can help thanks.

IMHO the WR tube is just for looks. There may be a slight gain, but alone, on a SOHC engine, i doubt you'll see 2hp. You will have to play around with getting it to fit right, it's not horrible, but not too great either, but also not impossible.
Now, the PRM intake, has actually been R&D'd and has been dyno tested for hp gains and airflow.
cancel the order and get the PRM.
