Camber/alignment questions
Recently I installed the ZX2 struts and Eibach Pro's. I took the car in for an alignment today and the tech said my camber settings were all out of wack. I tried to do a search here, but of course that function is broken again. Anyway, I ran upon a couple of threads saying that negative camber isn't a bad thing as long as the toe is good. I'm no expert, so I was hoping I could run my numbers by you guys and get your comments. The guy at the shop said I will wear out the inside of my tires prematurely. The toe was off and they did adjust it, but they couldn't adjust the camber without camber bolts, or they even suggest I could grind the top holes larger in my new struts (something I really didn't want to do).

No, these are the "after" numbers - they were virtually identical before though. All they really did was change the toe. I'm going to go back and see if they can get the camber even. I have noticed the car acts funny on uneven surfaces. But what do you guys think about the uneven tire wear issue? Should I do anything beyond getting the camber even, or just leave it alone? Spec camber for the front is -0.08 and rear -0.33, it doesn't seem like I'll get anywhere near that without a modification. And if I do get tire wear, do you think it'll be "shred" wear or gradual? These Potenza's aren't cheap!

Ya, like Jesse said, it's normal for the car to be twitchy with an agressive alignment. Makes ya use both hands
I have -1.25 up front and -1.5 out back, no tire wear issues. If racing, add a slight toe out in front.

Yep, that's exactly what it's doing - twitchy and following the ruts. I called the Goodyear guy this morning and he says he can't get the camber even between the two sides until I get some bolts, which is either complete bs or true, I dunno. I thought the camber in the rear could be adjusted with those slide-bolts on either side?

Thanks Jesse. I'll have to check with Mr. Goodyear. I also saw some bolts on eBay for $52 for a set of four. I think Eibach sells them too. I'm sure I'll end up getting the bolts then - that way I can dial in the best possible camber for my setup and get it even for both sides. So what do you think ... is Darryl's setup good for our chassis?
