LCA Bushings (1st Gen)

Has anyone replaced the LCA bushings with Poly's or anything? Where can I purchase them and how much? Need to replace them soon and would like to budget for them.

Thanks!

Braden, have you checked with Corksport, or better yet Mazda Motorsports? I think MazdaSpeed has bushings out for the front control arms on the 1st gen. I don't know if they're poly bushings or more dense rubber, but they've got to be better than stock.

CS has the MX-3 kit but I only want the 4 bushings for the LCA's and not the rest of the suspension... something like $175 for the kit wasn't doing it for me.

Not sure about MMS but I'd like to go poly instead of rubber that will deteriorate over time.

I'm still not sure if the MazdaSpeed kit will be polyureathane or not, but call Mazda Motorsports. They'll be cheaper than Corksport and will be able to tell you what material the bushings are.

Try SouthWest Ford. They sell Poly bushings (Energy Suspension) made for the ZX-2, which are bolt in. The cost $50. You might also find them from an ES dealer.

You can either search for the part number, Ford Racing=>Sport Compact Performance Parts=>M-3070-Z2, or go through the menus. The order is: Search--Category--Vehicle Parts--Ford Racing--Sport Compact Performance. They've recently downgraded their website to make it much harder to find things.

www.suspension.com

goto their Energy Suspension page and look under Ford ZX2 - LCA bushings are $20.

according to their site FAQ, that 'set' includes ALL the bushings!

they have 2 applications for the front sway bars.
which ones to use???... the 3/4" or 15/16"?

something else i noticed is on the 'ford' page, it lists those 2 applications seperately for the 90-96 Escort at $19 each, BUT on the 'mazda' page it has them listed together for $23 including endlinks......
???????
