noise when turning

almost everytime i make a sharp turn i hear like a noise in the rear. i wonder if anybody hears that sound. really hard to describe it, hmmm haha i still can't. i am guessing something is either loose or broken in the axles but the car is still in good shape.

i have had to replace mt front cv joints, it soundes like a clicking noise at first then becomes a rubbing/clicking sound.... i would get thouse replaced if that is whats happening... o dont have any sugestions on the rear... unless you have calipers or something in the rear and something is up with those

A noise while turning is typically (on a FWD car) a sign that at least one of your four CV joints is shot.
could a bad CV boot also cause a "creeking" type noise? i've had a bad CV boot before, and i experienced the "clicking" noise, but this morning, i noticed that when i would start to acclerate, the car would make a "creeking" noise (rather than a "clicking" noise).

i have the exact same thing...put it on the rack just before xmas and all looked fine, i tightened up all bolts i could see, but it's still there and my axle is only about 2 months old. so i suspect it to be the upper strut mount...if not, then it may be a bad axle.

It's definetly a creaking noise, like an door opening in a horror movie...no clicks, grinds or ticks, just a creak...and only the passenger side....i figure if it don't hurt performance, it's not priority....cause all the suspension is realatively new, all thats left are the upper mounts and bushings...and it sure don't sound like a bushing creak...

yeah, it's only on the left side, and my axle is about 3 months old as well. your description was right on the money! i guess i can have them check it out when i get my new motor mounts installed.

Yeah, I've posted here about the "creeking" noise too. Strange .. it went away for a few days after I degreased my engine, but it came back. I thought maybe it was struts, but it's still there even after new struts, upper strut mounts, and bushings. Granted, the strut bushings are the cheapo oem plastic ones, but at least they're new. And the creeking is getting worse and worse ... IT'S DRIVING ME FREAKING CRAZY !!! muwahahahah .....

A couple weeks ago I had the unorthodox idea of soaking down every bushing and mount that I could reach with WD40. First I did the LCA's - nope. Then the ball joint and tie rod end - nope, even though the boots on both are very cracked. Then I tried the tranny mount as best I could (a little hard to reach) - nope. I dunno ... I mean I've got a receipt from the previous owner showing a new left axle put on last year and the cv boots still look new. I thought about getting all new bushings from Energy Suspension and going to town, but I'll have to do my homework after reading the posts here about which ones from the Escort work and don't work. But if I don't stop the creeking noise soon I'M GOING TO GO INSANE !!!
