protege / escort interchangability

I read that the mazda protege and the ford escort share the same chassis. Could anyone tell me what parts are directly interchangable?

This would be greatly appreciated in helping me obtain some parts i need for an upcoming job on my car.

I currently have the task of replacing my sway bar (for the second time), struts, and brakes ahead of me. Thanks!

The engine/drivetrain/suspension components between the Escort GT ('91-'96????) and the '90-'94 protege LXs are for all intent and purposes, identical.

yes, i dentical parts, but not specs (i.e spring rates, strut valving) the meat and potatoes is all interchangable, but stuff like trim, electronics (except the ECU), body panels are either not interchangable or can be but with some mazdification.

ya also the 91-96 Mercury tracer LTS is a 4 dr Escort GT. I think it's basically the same car as a pro.

Steering Racks
The manual and power steering racks on the 2nd gen escort / tracer, 1st gen protege/323, and MX3 interchange. Not sure about the 3rd gen Escort/ZX2 though. The MX3 GS has a quicker 2.7:1 lock-to-lock ratio as copmared to the stock Protege/Escort's ratio of 3.1:1.
the racks "MAY" interchange between 1st gen Mazda and 3rd gen ZX2, but i know for a fact the ZX2 bushings do not fit the 1st gen Protege.
