Talking 94 Protege specs

I have a 94 Protege, 1.8L engine and 16 valves.

What I would like to know is to determine if it is a SOHC or a DOHC.

My AC compressor died, and I'd like to get it replaced before the summer starts.

sohc and dohc were both 16v. look at your valve cover. does it have 2 humps or one solid, ugly silver thing. also is it an lx or dx

Yeah, I did some research, and since I have a DX, it is a SOHC.

Thanks.
