Bad Vibes

Good ol' Lauderdale for NY? What the heck kind of move is that? Are you a masocist? You should see how beautiful the weather is here now. Check the weather. You know South Florida: 6 months of weather that's too hot but 6 months of paradise. Buffalo gets what, maybe 2 perfect months. Anyway, glad you saw this thread I referred you to. Get the picture on this Protege problem you're having now?

my parents bought a place down in Hallandale , right on the intercostal. So i saw this protege and bought it and pulled up to ny. Then i had to pull my dad's car down. So it was cheaper for the 1 way on the u-haul.
I'll be in Florida soon; i'm a resident too, so i get to drive around ny with my olympic spirit plates.. people look at me funny when they see those.

proteges from florida
my 94 protege came from sunny florida, too. i have the same vibration problem and tried fixing it by changing the idle speed. i think the manual says it should idle at 750 rpm? that didn't work all that well, tho. tell me this vibration is not a curse? did anybody manage to fix it?

Ginga, it really isn't that the cars are from Florida that causes the problem. Both the 94's I owned were made in a plant in Kentucky. I hate to break the bad news to you but there ain't no fix to it. Some of the Proteges develop this problem and others never will.

Where is my Protegé made?
All US/Canada Protegé's to date are built at the Hiroshima plant at Ujina,
Hiroshima, Japan. Protegé 5's are built at the Hofu 1 plant near Yamaguchi,
Japan.
If people tell you the Protegé is built in the US, they are wrong.
Only the old Escorts and Tracers (which were BG based) were built in Michigan
and Mexico.
