Thumbs down Broken Timing Belt

NE1 experienced a timing belt failure? Is so how many miles were on the car?

I've never had a timing belt break, but I make sure to replace it every 60,000 like the book says because it's not worth the risk of being stranded somewhere and ruining some valves. I know some people have gone over 100,000 on a timing belt and had no trouble but again, it's not worth the risk.

While going to work last year, the timing belt broke on my car. I guess nothing bad happen even if the belt as shattered in pieces, cuzz the car still run fine.

replaced the belt, but not the water pump, cause i heard it was a pain and it shows no signs of leaking. if i brought my car to my friends house with the air tools originally, the timing belt would have been done in probably less 2 hours
