Cleaning headlight casing
My left headlight seems to have some kind of film on it. I've noticed alot of older cares headlights seem to be the same way. I would just like to know if there is a good way to gett rid of this layer of film?

Heh,.. I had that problem too with my old '90 323se.... there's NO really good solution. I tried like 5 different things, & each ended up to be a temporary solution,.. those plastic assemblies just suck.

I'm not sure there's a permanent solution to the cloudy headlight issue, other than buying new headlights. I have used industrial plastic cleaners designed for airplane windows that are reputed to be the best in the business, and the headlights start clouding up again in no time....
It's just the plastic.. it's sheeeite

I'm not sure about the glass lenses, however I have plastic J-spec lenses and they are crystal clear. One thing I did try on my friends Eclipse. I used 99% rubbing alcohol to clean the inside of the lenses and it made a noticeable difference. It takes a few rinsings to clean it out however.
