Clutch burned, bad, i mean, BAD!

well, my mom did it! after 13 years of driving in 5th at 30kph with half released clutch. i cant even squell my wheels off, if i touch the gas in second, clutch slips immediatlly. hardly waiting for the new one, its a good feeling when you get the speed and torque back! (altough our cars dont have much torque)!

So, how much does it cost? What do you preffer?
thx

$325 or so for the ACT clutch. I recommend it.

For an n/a motor the ACT is an overkill. Getting a good OEM replacement will be much cheaper.

What happened to your turbo pro? I have my Escort GT that I am turboing soon. I have all the stuff, just got to put it all toghether. What problems did you run into. How many miles do you have on the engine?? Would you reccomend a valve job like you did. My compression is only 1pt. below new spec, which I thought was the coolest. Anywho, i would apreciate this info, or do you have AIM? Mine is beersarecool. Thanks
Scott

Even without the pics, you have 13 lines of text in your signature. Already, you have more text in your signature postings than in your actual postings, combined.

You, internet, suck.

There's a little check box underneath the text box when you are typing a new post. It doesn't take a lot of effort to uncheck the box next to "Show Signature." I don't really care about the bandwidth issue; that's not a problem for me. It's having to scroll through a bunch of crap to read the actual content of the thread that is annoying.

Here are your new pics. Right click on them, and choose save picture as to save them and put them wherever you need to.

The first picture is a single file with the two images combined side-by-side.

Anyways back to the topic at hand.. i ruun a centerforce and love it..

IF she slips to cluthc to much i would suggest a stronger clutch with a tought spring make it harder to get a lot of slip (stiff pedals bakakaka) or liek the centerforce not to stiff but will still bite like the dickens once it starts to engange..

I'm going with ACT, I dont have turbo yet but the clutch itself is gonna run about 300 plus. What's really gonna slap ya hard is the labor charges if you're gonna take it to a shop to get it done. I recommend doing it yourself. Its a pain in the *** but its not that hard if you have a reference. Took mine apart to get the flywheel resurfaced. Just buy the haynes auto repair manual, it makes things a whole lot easier.
