G1 stereo removal
ok guys, there are about 15 threads about g3 and newer cars, but how do i remove the stock g1 h/u?
removed the trim and pulled the screws, but i can't get at the wiring to disconnect the back, any insight? i don't really want to just "yank" it out

The radio should come out a little bit. However, the wiring won't allow for much room to work. There are 2 plugs on the back of the radio that are towards the passenger side of the car. Once you unplug those 2 plugs, and disconnect the radio antenna plug from the top of the drivers side of hte radio it should come right out.
