i was wondering about the hanger right before the cat, the one that holds the exhast up with a bar under the exhast pipe,

is that bar supposed to be welded to the exhast itself?

i ask cuz mine is not welded but i cannot tell if it once was, and plus i have a weird rattle at higher RPMs (above 4000rpm), kinda sounds like a loose muffler clamp around the pipe rattleing around but there is nothing loose, any ideas?

i played around with the bar right before the cat, moving it around to see if its got a proper place to set but i still get the rattle,

im stumped, any thought as to what may be the cause?

 

I was just under my car the other day and I noticed that. It is supposed to be welded on there. A temporary fix would be to find a hose clamp that is big enough to go around the pipe and clamp the bar right to the pipe until you can get welded back on, that should take care of the rattles.
