Help! Spark plugs keep backing out!

('94 DX 1.8 SOHC; 154,000 miles)
I've had the car for more than 4 years now and this is the first problem to bother me. The first time it happened I was on the interstate and I ended up driving on 3 cylinders. I put new plugs and wires in when it happened a few months ago and now the plugs are backing out again. I neither over or under tighten them. I've heard horror stories from other 4 cylinder engines blowing part of the head out when sparkplugs are over tightened. Is this a somewhat common issue with these cars? Any suggestions on trying to combat this issue?

if you over-tightened them, you may have to re-tap the plug threads.

Like I said earlier, I have not over tightened them. The only problem is that they back out over time. (i.e. 3 months or so)
