hesitation / stalling

Recently my car started hesitating and stalling. I'll be driving along and for just amoment the engine seems to quit and then it's back to normal. It also does this at idle occasionally. I thought maybe it was water in the gasline, so I tried gasline antifreeze with no luck.
Any ideas?
My car is 1992 Protege SE with the SOHC engine.

Thumbs up Stalling problem

Check out your oxygen sensor. I had the same problem on my 1989 Mazda MX-6 GT. I took it to the dealer thinking it was my tranny, they had it for six days and could not find the problem. Finally they found a defective oxygen sensor. I cost my $450.00 for the work they did finding the problem. The sensor is $50.00, but buy it from the dealer not from a auto parts store. Thats what got me in the first place. I had replaced the sensor when I replaced my turbo, because the impeller sheared the old one off. So I went and got one at checker, it was bad. So the whole experience was very bad.
