Question Leather?

Was the 1st-gen Protege ever put out with leather interior? I haven't seen one, so I'm guessing not, but I'd just like to find out for sure. (Oh, and: The FAQ is silent on this, and a search of this forum finds no previous mention of this subject.)

Thanks,

Dean

I am not 100% sure, but 99.9% that there are no 1st gen Proteges that came with leather packages.......

Re: Leather?

It makes me kinda wish I could have kept my '93 MX-3 SE after it got totaled. It had a nice black leather interior that would have gone great in a Protege. I wonder how much modification it would take to do that switch.

Re: Leather?

All too sadly, it is in the hands of the insurance company, and has gone to its final resting place. Sigh.

There are at least two and perhaps three Mazda-specific dismantlers in the Sacramento area, though. I might check with them the next time I'm in that area (about 90 miles from here).

Nah, it's impossible to get that info out the insurance company as it goes through a wholesale auction house, and the info doesn't come back. But similar ones are almost certainly up there. There's Mazda Recyclers, as mentioned, and I'm sure I saw reference to another one up there. There's also http://www.sunfor.com/ ... and probably others.
