Manual Transmission
Whats up out there in protege woorld. Anyway I was wondering in a manual transmission ; how often are you supposed to change you're trans fluid. How do you check it, and how do you know when you are low. I know with automatic it is supposed to be every 50,000 if im not mistaken.

ATF is used in manual trannies because it makes them easier to shift when cold- gear oil is very thick stuff and makes some trannies "notchy" in very cold weather. MTL still works better than ATF. I have yet to see a manual that didn't shift easier when filled with MTL or MT90.
BTW my car has MT90 in it and I love it.
