So you noticed how much of a bitch it is to change the damn filter in the protege huh ,, hahaha... Yo I had to have one hand around the intake manifold , then pulled the intake pipe and put the other hand down there.. then lets not talk about trying to get the damn bolt to go back in to secure the filter . .. oh god no...

On the other hand the feul filter in my 323 would be a synch to change . There is a lot more room in the 323 , with the sohc 1.6 as opposed to a 1.8L motor ...

Well, if you want to get fancy about this, replace the oem fuel filter with an AEM aluminum fuel filter for an Integra/Civic. You will need a couple of copper fittings to get the mod done but it works nicely and is much bigger than the oem filter.
