Reamed by the regulars? Cua! Cua! Cua! Cua! That's funny! Anyway, if none of the two sides work, try to remember if your car went through deep water where water might have gotten into the car. If it did, the box under the seat got wet and you fried it. It controls the motors that are on each door that move the part back and forth. I know because the I got an inquiry for that box from my parts car. I quoted the guy a price after checking how much it cost at the dealership and junkyards. He agreed to the price and then never emailed me back. That happens a lot selling parts from a parts car. If one dosen't have the money to buy then say so. Don't act like you are going to buy and then not email to say you can't. That's rude!

On a first generation? It's been over 10 years now so I doubt any dealer is going to honor a recall. Even less chances if you're not the original buyer. They will still fix it and they can still get the part but I think it costs in the hundreds. I can't recall the exact price now. Like I said, I know because I asked about the price of the unit. Give them a call and ask them how much it will be for the box alone. Don't pay for installation. That's got to be one of the easiest things to replace in the world. I imagine it must be four screws and unplugging a connector. That's after removing the seat ofcourse, that's just another four screws or nuts. If you want to buy mine, let me know.
