I have a 1992 protege where do you fill the transmission fluid i need to get it moved so i can replace the seal....any help would be appreciated

 

Auto or Manual tranny?

To fill the manual tranny, you have to pull the speedo gear out and fill it there. It's below the TB. Just follow the speedo cable down. There is one 10mm bolt holding it in. Detach the spedo cable from the gear and then remove that 10mm bolt and pull the gear out. You will need a long *** funnel to add more fluid.

I think the Auto tranny fill tube is next to the battery.

 

Its a manual transmission............whats TB ???.............have you ever replaced the tranny seal and if so how hard was it ???

 

TB=Throttle Body

Never replaced the seal.

 

The spedo cable is right below the TB next to the fuel filter
