Where to find a 1993 Factory Service Manual

Hey guys I just acquired my pop's 1993 protege LX to use as my work commuter car. I was wondering if anyone knew a place I could purchase a actual factory service manual for this car. Not the Haynes/Chilton junk you can buy at pep boys, but an actual factory shop manual.

I think it's great a forum like this exists.

Howdy, generally the only way to get one is Ebay. I got mine with wiring diagram for $35, you just have to keep a sharp eye out for them. Otherwise, you'd have to go to the dealer, which can be from $100-$200 for a new one.

it is morally 'right' to pay for a manual directly from mazda.. but that 92 service manual available on that link is EXACTLY what you will need, i've used this to answer MANY difficult questions people have had. just right click the link and click 'save target as' and save the entire manual to your hard drive.. distribute, have fun with it. it's 100x better than a hiltons, and has complete wiring diagrams, and including rebuilding ..etc
peace

Thanks for the input. That manual should make things a lot easier. I have a general "Loose-ness" in the steering at high speeds--nothing excessive, but something I'm going to tackle first. I just bought this car for a commuter, but the more I look over this site, the more I wanna tackle the BPT swap and make this thing into a bad 'lil sleeper.

I'd love to have something to smoke some of those civics with their body kits scraping the ground. It's funny how big wheels, cold air intake, and a fart cannon makes people think their 100hp honda is now a rocket ship. I already get a kick out of smoking them in my 351 powered '70 Bronco on 35's, but it'd be even more fun in a stock looking protege.
