Talking WOW.....my pro doesn't suck......

I was pulling out of a parking lot behind my stepdad and his 93 ford ranger spun tires a lil but didnt bark the tires...... I sat there and thought... I WANT TO SPIN TIRES......well I did except mine didnt just spin they barked i was actually suprised it could , but considering the last time i tried to get it to bark tires was up a hill but it still worked then..........yay cool thing was when i pulled out of the parking lot i only brought it to 2200 rpm thats what suprised me the most i didnt even floor it and its an auto ... i am proud of my lil "rice burner"...

driver + influence of barking tires + protege = vroooom and barking of tires

spinning tires is the opposite of going fast! You should work on getting up to speed as fast possible WITHOUT spinning the tires.

p.s. If a police officer see's you doing it, it's called "improper start from stop" and is a $100 ticket here. Be careful.

just a point of order....

i would never buy an intake off of e-bay for a first gen. 99.8% of them are bad news. almost all of them are of the wrong diameter, and will have fitment issues.

GhettoPro, that black box is your resonator box. you need it. it is a straight through design, so it is NOT restrictive. removing that box you will yield a 4ft-lb drop in peak torque. and just in case you haven't herd torque is the only force our engine outputs.

hp = torque/(rpm/5252)

and that random hose that comes out of the box and connects under your TB. that is the idle air controller. without it your car will run like ***.

Also a ram air intake is a short intake that utilized dynamic flow pressures to pressurized the intake. so you will actually get a little more air in it. that Cold air draws denser air into the engine. saying you want to ram air that res. box? WTF that makes no sense!

there are several threads out thare on how to make intakes for a 90-94 protege. i have authored several of them.
