100-shot NOS...

There is a thread on the protegetech.com forum where a guy said he has a 100-shot of NOS in his Gen2 pro. Can our pro's even handle that much NOS???

I dont know how to get the direct link for the page, but this is what he said....

-I'm an automotive student, ASE certified, and have
worked in a shop for 4 years. Here is a breif list of my mods, no
engine lights..ever.

-17 inch wheels if lighter than stock will improve performance
regardless of diameter...do the math. Gyroscopic wieght increase
exponentially. lose 5 lbs a wheel, lose 600lbs mass seen by car.

-100 shot nos system made by ZEX for civic, too easy ive ran six
bottles , get good plugs, and an air /fuel meter
from autometer. carfull in first, cluth slip is emminent.

-intake ram air honda reversed upside down with
about six inches cut off, to easy, use air duct work off late model chevy truck to go from cone filter to front of car. work very well with honda intake

-clear corners corksport, well worth the money

-strut bar ractive front, none for back I dont care what they say it
dosnt exist.

-cat back Screww mazdaspeed 600$ crap...get universal muffler, go to muffler shop tell them 2.25 inch pipe to cat save around 400$

-tint helps bring down roofline tall appearance

-sunroof is nice

-erebuni body kit, fits great, do not remove bumpers, it will fit
perfectly with a slight simple modification of the kit.

-spring no no no...get coilovers the ability to change ride heigth
is well worth the extre $200

-headers if you got money to waste go ahead, if you compare factory to aftermrket the desien changes can't add more than
a horse or two, money is better spent on a faster flowing cat.

-compter chip inless you go further than I have not really nessesarry (spell) your factory computer is smarter than youll
ever know, if you feed it more..air, nos...it will find a way to
put it to use. do the math

-fuel pressure regulator...mine delivers enough fuel
to keep a 100 shot of nos wet, nuf said... oh yea unpluggging it
will increase fuel pressure, wont give you any more power but will kill your fuel pump pumps life in half...do the math.

-a pillar gauges are just cool, get some from an accord or something and make them fit, mine do, its just plasic.

-i'm tired of writing...ive done some other ****...if you need answers e me at x_avery@yahoo.com

-ps universal wings and such...every one wants ****
premade to fit their car...tough, measure the trunk order the
univesal stuff that fits...this goes for all universal stuff...put down
the beer and do some math.

-remember, when possible modify the part, not the car.

What do you guys think?

100 shot of nitrous? yeah ****** right. isn't there something for how much nitrous you can use... like peak hp / 2 = max shot? i think craig told me that. i'm running a 65 shot on my third gen. i wouldnt even attempt a 100 shot. fawk that.

Prototype is correct. It is recommended you not run more than half your stock HP....to do so would likely end in a short lived motor (especially a stock motor).

I dont know much about nitrous, but I knew our engines couldnt handle a 100 shot. Well maybe he is running 200 hp without the nitrous.... I THINK NOT!!

Have you all did the math??? I did and it's just not workin!!!! He must have pushed the 0 button 1 to many times, more like a 10 shot of NOS. I want to see this 100shot NOS

That dumbass definitely is making that crap up. B/c if he ever took any sort of math that he loves to profess, he wouldn't be beaking about a lighter wheel always being better than a heavier one. Where the weight is located is the most important part, and for everyone who don't believe me, look up what mass moment of inertia. If you have had a 2 ton 17" wheel but 99 percent of that weight was located within a millimeter of of the centre of rotation (axle) it would be way easier to spin than a 1 ton 17" wheel with all that mass located at the edge of the rim. Same goes for flywheels or anything spinning. Make sure you query companies about the inertial mass of the wheel or flywheel, and see what kind of line they feed you. Damn I love physics.

And this.....Gyroscopic wieght increase
exponentially...... ......I don't even know where to start.....

All I can say is I hope that kid wasn't professing to be part of SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers), b/c if he was....I would have turned in my membership here and now. Ah...good bitch session.

Mind if I take a whack at this?

I hear from lots of people that the Mazda block is extremely strong, I can easily see it pushing a 65 shot (as noted above), but a 100 shot? Here is a quote I find very funny: carfull in first, cluth slip is emminent. at first? Thats one hell of a clutch if its holding that 100 shot through what 6 bottles? For someone that knows as much as he says he does, you would think he would swap the clutch out? I am assuming he is running a basic clutch which for sure wouldn't hold up to a 100 shot and 6 bottles I think hes running a 65 shot or less and is dreaming of 100 shot. Its time to wake up boy, leave Rice Land and come back to Reality

As he said lets do the math if I lightened my car(don't know the weight) so the car is say 2300 lbs with gas and driver and use wheels 5 lbs each lighter then stock his math states that the car would weigh -100 lbs (600x4). Now that would Fly.
