97-98 Front Grill

does anyknow know if you can swap out the plastic piece that sits in the middle...i got a grill for a 97-98 by accident thinking it would swap out easily but it doesnt seem as if it will...if you cant does anyone want a grill for a 97-98 for only $20 with shipping???

Sorry to hear about the mishap, but there is no way you can put a 97-98 grille into 95-96 model.

i got it off ebay for cheap and didnt even notice that the pic was a different kind...i thought they were interchangeable...i like the little middle part better then the 95-96 ones...they are boring and ugly...the 97-98 with the mesh is cool...oh well...anyone want a teal colored(same color as my car) 97-98 grill for $20 including shipping to anywhere in the US????

what did you do to make it look nice like that...your grill looks sweet...mine is boring and ugly to me...

cut out two slots , then file it down and give it to the body shop to finsih and paint

Or cut all the slots and keep just the outline and put some nice mesh grill.
If you want something strong, get some good rubber epoxy from a body paint shop. It's stronger and never crack.
This is how I got rid of it.

I'm wondering if JUST the black part of the grill can be swapped.Not the plastic border just the black stuff. It has screws holding it on the mold and in theory they are the same size but different styles.

It is trail and error. It might fit, and you will have gaps to fill, or it might not fit at all.

i tried that...didnt work out...the 4 parts that hold em into the car arent the same and the black molding in the midle from the 97-98 doesnt fit right into the 95-96 colored part...so no go...
