gear shift
I would like to replace my shift ****. ('97 se 5 spd man) when i put the new **** on, the top of the boot was approx 2" below the bottom of the new ****. Any suggestions as to a type that would fit or will I need to buy a new shift boot? if so what kind?

Start shoppin.
I changed my shifter **** also, and got rid of that stupid ugly rubber boot that came with my car. Which actually restrict shifting, once i got the leather boot it was much smoother!!
I bought the boot from www.stylinconcepts.com
but i will warn u i over paid big time with stupid SHIPPING and customs, etc (TO CANADA). But it was a standard one with an elastic band at the bottom will fit perfectly, i will try to take a picture and show u!
Then if ever u buy one that is too long, then u have to just fold the top inwards and put a tie wrap to hold it in place and it will look fine.
I will get that picture for you soon.

Shift boot
Alan Gunn leather accessories makes a boot that actually will screw onto the bottom of your aftermarket ****. tha honda civic unit will fit perfectly, comes with shift boot and 1 pc. e-brake handle/boot, and the only mod necessary is to cut the hole in the end of the e-brake handle square rather than round.
