Gen 2 dashboard...

I am in the process of re-doing my entire interior. (i know this should be in the interior/exterior, but i figured it applied to us Gen2 people more) Anyways... I took out my armrest and the rest of the center part. I also took off the bottom half of the dashboard (everything under the steering wheel on both passenger and driver's side) Now this upcoming part is where I am totally clueless. I know you are supposed to pop all of the buttons out of the black section of the dashboard, but I have NO CLUE how to get them off without breaking them. Does anybody know how I can do this, because I have already broken my rear defrost button! help please!!!
