Hey!

I'm new too! Picking up my '96 LX tomorrow from the dealer. Don't worry, you won't be the only one in CPQ with a G2 Protege!

Yeah, I think it's a 1.8 It certainly feels like one (I've converted back to gas from diesel ). Just got it today. And yes, I'm in the Montreal area. LaSalle to be in fact. Just moved here from Ontario.

I seem to be not welcome in CPQ (gotta learn French, darnit)! How about you?

Regards,

Oz

Hey!

For the 1.8 thing, check the sticker under your hood. You should see a 1.8 somewhere and 1839cc for displacement.

How come your not welcome in the CPQ?
It's all friendly people. The message board is mainly in french but don't bother about that, we mostly all understand and write in english too...I hope so! If you come see our board tuning section, I'm the moderator.

Me, I'm in St-Laurent in the north west of Montreal.

By the way, few of ours (11-12 members) are going to the Car-Fever in Napierville the 24 of june. If you're coming, come see us. I will introduce you to the group. I'll be easy to find, I'm the only 2nd gen in the club...until you join us!

Look for a 96 LX dark blue Pro with Trophy 16" and a sticker of the club on the back window. I'll do a drag session in the morning but I'll park with my people after.

See ya!

I'm too darn lazy to check, but I will later. I guess I feel unwelcome coz' I can't read & write French, and I can only speak very little. Raptor did give me a good answer earlier today when I checked my post.

As for the meet, what time is it? I'm working on the 24th (coz' I'm taking off the 28th). Depending on the time and how long the meet will last, I might be able to make it. And you'll have to give me the address of Napierville.

One thing though, I'm gonna feel like an idiot since the car is all stock...for now. I intend to leave it like that until I pay it off.

Regards,

Oz

Me too, if you have question, don't hesitate to ask in tuning.I'm not bad for writing and mecanic stuff. And it would be cool to have someone to share mods idea. There's cheap hp you can get, if you do a good tune-up...
I love putting stuff on my car. Mostly at the shop but I get good price.

There's still some stock cars in the club too.
We're just a bunch of people who loves the Protege!
So it doesn't matter, as long as you like your Pro(the way you want too!), this is what it's all about.
And I'm still paying my car but I'm too hurry to spirite my Pro!

I'll ask only if I can write in French. Anyway, how do I sign up as a member in CPQ? If the club will be at Napierville between 8-10AM (like the ad says), then I can make it. I'll have to leave right after for work though.

Oh yeah, I checked my engine block. BP-something-something. So, it's definitely a 1.8. I hope there are signs at Napierville to direct me to the club

Regards,

Oz
