Protege plans are looking good
Well the plans for the 2003 mods to the protege are looking good , in about 13 days I will have the money to get the motor , harness and computer in my possesion , after that I will just need to get my tranny , and it is pretty much a wrap .....
I intend to also try and get the corksport manifold and get them to get me a vj-20 turbo also ... I am still researching places to get the engine from but for now I am really wanting a place on the east cost so that I can go pick the damn thing up ....
the list of parts to get goes as follows ....
1.8L BP motor ,
harness and cpu
tranny
act stage 3 clutch ( bun fire)
1.8 corksport turbo manifold ,
vj-20 turbo , and BOV
all gauges and boost control device , and other products needed
also pipping ...
I mainly just want to get the 1.8 into the car and get it running N/A then work on collect the items needed for boost ..... once boost is in , it's a wrap from there .......
there will ofcourse be a slew of pics, on the site, but install won't begin , till we get at least 70 degree weather outside minimum

Good luck with your swap. I hope everything goes well, and that you don't need serious mods to do it.
I've looked in alot of places here and there and have never seen exactly why the bpt, ''can't'' be swapped into the second gen. What is this hold back and what have the few people who have done this swap had to do that was so difficult?? I know the engine compartment is smaller than the g1, is there some serious reconfiguration involved?? Is it necessary to remove/ relocate the rad or a/c condensor for example??

the bpt will fit ,, but the bad part is you will have more downtime , wich I can't afford to have
and also the wiring harness is way different , so that may not work . so I am just going the say route that I listed above , later I will try to import some higher flowing injectors and make do with them for the time being ,....
