Question stock tire size question

so the manual says to get 170/70 on 13's or 185/65's on 14's. that means the 14"ers are gonna be a bigger tire by a small amount.

i am getting 14x7.5's maybe and i was thinking of getting 195/60's on them. for my 13" pizza-cutters should i get 165/80's all-seasons to match the outside diameters as per stock? which outside diameter is right? the 13" 170/70's or the 185/65's on the 14"s?

i'm confused...

First of, its 175/70R13 for DX models. The LX, and ES had 185/65R14. As you can see, for every time you increase the wheel size by one, the tire height should be decreased by 5. So as you can see, DX's stock 13s and 70 becomes 14s and 65. Therefore, if you want 15s, you should look for a tire of like xxx/60R15, xxx/55R16 and so on, and so on. Good luck.

this is what i am talking about... true an inch over about 22 is not a big deal... however...

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
185/65-14 4.7in 11.7in 23.5in 73.7in 859 0.0%
175/70-13 4.8in 11.3in 22.6in 71.1in 891 -3.5%

i wonder... if the tranny is the same... does this change the final drive too?

165/80 is the right size tire to get for a 13" to match the 185/65-14's that the manual specs out...
