SunRoof

How hard is it to put a sunroof on??? I've seen the 97 or 96 pro's with one!!! I was just wondering how hard they are to install and are there a lot of problems with putting one on a car that doesn't already have one?????thanks

I am not really speaking from experience, but there are shops that specialize in this kind of thing. I am not sure about the sun-roof, but the moon-roof is very easy to do and affordable.

sunroof is the basic one that just pops up or down and you can pull out, the moonroof has a motor and goes up or down and also moves back into the roof of the car leaving the hole totally open, the moonroof i was told was the harder to install.

Well, in that case I will reverse my statement. The sun roof is easy and affordable, and the moonroof, is the expensive one. Sorry for confuzlement.

I was quoted 170 at one place to do a sunroof in my car, and told that a moon roof would be very very difficult and one of the places i went to wouldn't do it in my car.

Man 700!!!! thats a lot of money!!! I was expecting some where between 3-5 hundred. Man.... I might have to put this project on hold cause that his a lot of money for a sunroof. Also for that much money shouldn't you be able to put a electric moonroof!!!!! ??????

it was fully electric...it moved all the way back and up and down...so maybe it was a moonroof...but i just call it a sunroof...also dont forget that was at a dealership...
