weird ringing sound

In the last couple of weeks i noticed a ringing sound from the driver side of the car soemtimes while i'm driving... i think its from the front but not sure yet.... if i hit the break once or twice it goes away... i am wondering if maybe the rotor is warped adn rubbing something or if the calliper is sticking a little? any ideas?

The spring/clip that holds the calipers in place? It could be loose it might not be there.

have your calipers and pad's checked out, caliper could be sticking and not fully releasing... proable cause could be worn sleeves or something.
peace

Check for what I said.. that's simple if it isn't that I suggest you take it to a shop because calipers can be troublesom. I had a sticky caliper and they had a hell of a job un-sticking it.

could be your brake pads.. either dirt in them or you need to change your pads and they are worn down to where the metal is screaching the rotor....at any rate check your pads.. if you need a how to on changing your pads, let meknow I have a page on my site for how to do it ...
