what a freakin day

went in for my alignment finally since i got all new struts and springs a few months ago and just put on 16" rims... yeah they can't do it cause one of my struts is bent and my front left axle has a tear in the boot.. so i have to find a new axle... is this somethign i can do myself? or will i need serious help?

you need like a 31mm socket and 100lbs of force to brake off the wheel nut. you are going to have to disconnect the axle from the transmission which is pretty involved. then you have to pack the new boot with hitemp boot grease. its about $100 to pay someone to do it, and another 100-150 for parts.

already done.. took an hour... just bought a split boot tore the other one off... cleaned the area a little thenput new greas in the gear area and put the rest in the boot and put it on... gonna do it to the other side for good measuer... now though ihave to replace the steering joint on the other side cause the grease is leaking out... suck
