Uhhh, unless there's a ractive expert somewhere, that's not gonna help.
Where'd you get it?
If you bought it somewhere, why did you buy it without knowing it'd fit?
I'm not real knowledgable on the 1.6l but I do know that finding applications specific to this engine is difficult.

Sorry for the long delay but I did research the intake (purchased from cardomain.com) and it said "all models" but it clearly is not. I installed it anyway but I had to modify the AFS to fit and I've had no problems, no check engine light, no stalling, etc. The 1.6l is VERY limited in terms of upgrades but half the challenge and fun is finding what does work and using it. Besides, in Seguin, I have a one-of-a-kind protege.

Hold up you were able to fit a 2.0 sri on to a 1.6l pro?
How! The 2.0 stuff is cheaper and more readily avaible.

What did you have to modify pics? I was sure the 2.0 and 1.6 had diffrent mafs, keep an eye on that because the 1.6l mafs are notorius for not sitting properly so they throw cels with even 1.6l specific intakes.

Yo what I did was modified the mafs (like cut it around so it'd fit snugly with the rubber attachment) which worked fine...I did have to find a plug for a hole located in the tubing near the filter element. I just bought a camara so ill take some pics so you can see for yourself how i did it. no problems with my car overall so far!

let me tell you something. quick update. My intake is mine. It is fine and dandy. I just love the sound around 3500 - 4000 rpms and especially when I punch the gas. No bogging. No rough idling. Nothing except a damn CEL which cam on ohhh a week after i think. Probly a sensor which i'll look into when ehh properly motivated. Next : bosal cat-back w/interchangeable tips. BOOM! Oh yeah. One other thing. I ordered the intake from cardomain but they sent me another one!!!! Should i tell them or sell it on ebay? Whacha think?? maybe a new thread advertising it??? C'mon tell me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What should i do?

I did this a long time ago Zero...you cut the MAF out of the intake box and plug the IAT hole in the 2.0L SRI with a vacuum plug....that's it

Like I said you threw a cell. With the cel on you loose insane power and milage goes to ****. Dont get me wrong I drove around with one for 6 months but its not a good thing.

Well mac I would rather not mess with my maf for the time being. This being my second one. I do however have an idea for a custom intake.

Do our cars suffer the same problem using cai's as the 2.0's ( loss of lowend power)? I just couldn't handel that.

I NEVER threw a CEL ! My setup has been on the car for about 3 years and has run flawlessly. I lost a slight bit of low end torque, but when revving high it is much better. Definitely worth it . However If i were you I'd simply look on ebay...they sell CAI's that are made for the 1.6L for like $49 When I bought my intake there was only the Injen one for $249... I spent like $35 for a 2.0L intake and it works great

There never seems to be an intake for the 1.6's online exept the expensive ones.

The loss in lowend is probubly due to the lack of resonator.
Im gonna try to put one together out of pvc w/ resonator possibly also out of pvc. I just need someway of measuing gains, im consitering a gtech like device. If there good Ill have one bent up at an exhaust shop. I also have another trick up my sleve which should be pretty slick.
