Is your car a 1.6L or 1.8L. I bought an Injen CAI for my 99 LX 1.6 and installed properly. Reset ECU and all but it felt like the car had lost horsepower. It was horrible. I didn't seem like the CAI was getting air with the filter all the way down in the wheel well. Any suggestions on this. I sent the intake back months ago, just wondering if anyone could offer a reason. Oh, it was pretty rainy that week. Does anyone have problems with CAI and the rain?

You know.. how it "feels" can be deceiving. I gave the real test to the quarter mile, and I resulted with the same overall trap speed at the end, so to me it didn't result in anything better or worse than my SRI.

And definitely no issues with it in the rain.

no seriosuly....just disconnect the negative battery cable and step on the brake pedal for 10-15 seconds...then hook everything back up.
i've called aem when istalling mine, they sayed take the injector fuse out, i did and that work to.but my light still comes on, may be because the cats (both) are gone.

Reset the ECU? Dang, I've done some tweaking and prodding and cutting and epoxying and white-trash rigging to my stock intake and some other stuff. Must reset now. Thanks for the pointer.

then you did reset the ecu...thats really all it takes is to disconnect the battery, as long as it is left off for a few minutes
