2000 Cold Air intake
Any one with a 2000 LX 1.6? Need help does the HKS intake help out the HP on the car? And Can you feel the diffrence when it is installed? The reason is because I purchased one and it just came to today by UPS. I would like for someone to answer this questions before I install it. I'm new to this club so sorry if I ask any dumb @$$ questions>

hks is for the 1.8l. so, no.. won't work. do a search for 1.6l, or 1.6. there's a shitload of information out there for the 1.6's, because we've tried to get all the info on that out there. your best option for the 1.6 is the injen cai. don't buy, before you know for sure. especially online. if i find the 'who has a 1.6' thread, i'll post it. but right now, i'm too lazy ;D

funny.. mine doesn't do this. hp isn't all that greatly affected by the intake. it however, does open up the lower rpm's a bit. i've been running with intake and exhaust on my 1.6 for a while now. recently, i pulled my intake off for winter (lots of snow packed around the filter doesnt make for good driving) the thing you'll notice the most is accelleration. i think i most noticed it when i would make turns. usually i coast around the corner and drop it into second, then let the clutch pedal out and go... well, it's a night and day difference doing this with the beautifully restrictive oem intake, and an aftermarket one. that seems to be where most of the gains are, because it feels just about the same in the top end (still opens the top end up, but not by much.)
