2000 Pro/ No fuel filter?

Hi all,

I recently traded my 98 Pro LX for a 00 Pro LX with a 1.6L engine. I went to my local auto parts store looking for a fuel filter. I was told they didn't list a fuel filter for my vehicle. Thinking that meant they just didn't carry one, I went to an online site and received a message that my vehicle doesn't have an inline fuel filter, only an in tank screen. Can anyone confirm this? I know my 98 had an inline filter. Thanks in advance.

It's mostly true. There IS a filter, but it's part of the fuel pump (also inside the tank) and it isn't a normal maintenance item. Run a search for more info.
